21 Year Old Manatee County woman killed, man injured in State Road 70 crash

Manatee County, Fl-A 21-year-old Palmetto woman was killed Saturday afternoon near Lake Placid when the car she was riding in on State Road 70 crossed the center line and struck the front of a pickup, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
Three other people suffered injuries in the crash, which happened at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 18th, near the intersection of S.R. 70 and Robert McGee road, southwest of Lake Placid in Highlands County.
The young woman was riding in a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old Bradenton man heading east when it crossed the center line, striking the front of a pickup truck heading west and operated by a 67-year-old man from Ruskin, the FHP reported.
The pickup went off the road and hit a barbed wire fence.
The woman, unnamed in the report, was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead. The driver of the car, who was also not identified, was seriously injured.
The driver and a 14-year-old male passenger in the pickup from Ruskin were both seriously injured. Neither of the unnamed victims was wearing seatbelts, according to the FHP.
The FHP said it was unknown whether the man and woman in the car were wearing seatbelts.
