76-Year-Old Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Manatee County Crash

MANATEE COUNTY, FL – A 76-year-old Bradenton man is currently hospitalized with serious injuries after his motorcycle collided with a sedan attempting to make a U-turn at an intersection.
The incident occurred at the intersection of State Road 70 (53rd Avenue East) and 47th Street East on Thursday morning, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
According to FHP, the motorcyclist was traveling west on State Road 70 while a sedan driven by a 91-year-old Bradenton man was traveling east. The sedan attempted to make a U-turn at the intersection, resulting in a collision with the motorcycle.
Emergency responders promptly arrived at the scene, and the motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital for medical treatment due to the severity of his injuries. His current condition remains unknown.
Thankfully, the 91-year-old driver of the sedan did not sustain any injuries as a result of the crash.
