A 15-year-old Bradenton girl was seriously injured after being struck by a car

BRADENTON, Fl.— A 15-year-old girl suffered severe injuries after being hit by a car in Bradenton late afternoon on Monday, January 23rd.

Reports state the girl was standing on the shoulder of the sidewalk on Lockwood Ridge Road around 3:45 p.m. when a 34-year-old Sarasota man slowed his vehicle while approaching stopped traffic.

FHP said the girl stepped in front of the approaching car and was then hit by the vehicle.

The girl was treated at the hospital for serious injuries.
