Cyclist in Manatee County Loses Life Following Collision with Three Vehicles

Manatee Co, Fl. – In a tragic event, a 55-year-old male cyclist lost his life after he was hit by three different vehicles at the 11th Street Circle East intersection in Bradenton, Manatee County, Florida, last Friday.
Details from the Florida Highway Patrol state that the fatal incident occurred early morning around 6 a.m. on State Road 70. The cyclist, while crossing the road, was hit by a pickup truck operated by a 19-year-old male. The impact from the collision was the first in a series of unfortunate events.
Following the initial collision, a 53-year-old female motorist from North Port, in her attempt to evade the accident, also ended up hitting the cyclist.
Adding to the grim event, an unidentified vehicle further collided with the bike and fled the scene, continuing its route westbound on SR-70.
At the scene of the accident, the cyclist was confirmed dead.
The incident is currently under active investigation.
