Fatal Crash Reported in Manatee County

Manatee County, Fl.-A single-vehicle crash in Manatee County resulted in the death of a 54-year-old Parrish man, according to reports.

The incident occurred just before 5:30 a.m. on Saturday when the man was driving west on Whitfield Avenue, west of Lockwood Ridge Road.

The Florida Highway Patrol stated that the man is believed to have experienced a medical episode, causing his pickup truck to travel off-road and collide with the guardrail. He was transported to Doctors Hospital but was later pronounced dead. The crash is still under investigation.
