Fatal Manatee County Crash Claims Life as Vehicle Plunges Into Manatee River

MANATEE COUNTY, Fl. – The crash, which involved a single vehicle, took place shortly after 3 a.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the vehicle failed to navigate a curve on Fort Hamer Road near the Boat Launch, resulting in the collision. Subsequently, the sedan entered the waters of the Manatee River.

While the driver of the car was able to swim to safety, regrettably, an 18-year-old passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Florida Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the crash, working to gather more information and determine the circumstances that led to this unfortunate incident.
