Fatal One-Car Crash Claims Life of Bradenton Man on State Road 70

MANATEE COUNTY, FL – Tragedy struck on Sunday evening as an 86-year-old Bradenton man lost his life in a one-car crash. The incident occurred when he lost control of his vehicle while attempting to exit I-75, according to a statement from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Investigators have determined that the man was traveling south at approximately 5:15 p.m. As he proceeded onto the exit ramp at State Road 70, he encountered difficulties and lost control of his vehicle.
The car veered off the road during a right-hand curve, entering the median area. In a series of events, the vehicle collided with a concrete culvert before overturning into a retention pond.
Tragically, the driver’s life could not be saved, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene by troopers.
