Fatal Rollover Crash on I-75 near Sarasota Claims One Life, Leaves Another Seriously Injured

SARASOTA COUNTY, Fl. – Tragedy struck on Friday evening as a rollover crash on I-75 near Sarasota resulted in the death of one individual and left another with “serious” injuries, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies reported that the incident occurred around 7:20 p.m., near mile-marker 211.

The northbound lanes of I-75 are currently closed at Fruitville Road, as stated by the sheriff’s office. Commuters are advised to seek alternative routes and avoid the affected area.
