Northbound Lanes Closed on Interstate 75 in North Port Due to Crash

NORTH PORT, FL. — An accident near Mile Marker 182 has resulted in the closure of a significant stretch of the northbound lanes on Interstate 75 in North Port.

As of 8:20 a.m., two lanes remain blocked.

Due to the incident and resulting traffic congestion, U.S. 41/Tamiami Trail in North Port is also facing heavy traffic flow.

The mishap occurred around 6:51 a.m., affecting the northbound entrance at Sumter Boulevard on I-75, as per the Florida Highway Patrol’s report.
