Six-year-old seriously injured in University Parkway crash

Sarasota, FL. – A six-year-old Bradenton girl suffered severe injuries, and four others were hurt in a crash on University Parkway in north Sarasota County on Sunday morning, December 4th.
The wreck occurred near University Parkway and Legacy Boulevard intersection at 10:30 a.m.
A 32-year-old Bradenton man driving an SUV west on University Parkway failed to yield the right of way while turning left and entered directly into the path of an SUV traveling eastbound.
The front of the oncoming SUV collided with the side of the turning SUV.
A six-year-old Bradenton girl in the passenger’s seat of the turning SUV was seriously injured in the crash. She was taken to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, FHP said. Two other passengers, a 33-year-old Bradenton woman and a 54-year-old Bradenton woman, had minor injuries after the crash.
The occupants of the other SUV, a 42-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman from Skokie, Illinois, also had minor injuries after the crash.
