Tragic Crash Claims the Lives of Two Women from Tampa and Sarasota in Manatee County

Manatee County, Fl. – In a devastating incident on Interstate 75, a severe traffic accident took the life of a 31-year-old woman from Tampa on Friday morning.
The woman was operating a Ram work truck in the outer southbound lane of I-75 at approximately 9:10 a.m. on Monday when, at the last moment, she attempted to change lanes towards the State Road 64 exit ramp. Tragically, her vehicle collided head-on with the guardrail that separates the interstate travel lanes and the off-ramp travel lanes, causing it to overturn, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol.
Regrettably, the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
In a related incident, debris from the truck and the guardrail struck a second vehicle that was already traveling in the off-ramp lane, causing it to come to a stop within the off-ramp travel lane. Fortunately, the 56-year-old Bradenton woman driving the sedan car did not sustain any injuries.
The Traffic Homicide Unit of the Florida Highway Patrol is actively investigating this fatal traffic crash.
It is noteworthy that this crash marks the second fatal accident to occur in Manatee County within a span of less than 24 hours.
Additionally, the Florida Highway Patrol has reported that a 32-year-old Sarasota woman, while riding a motorcycle, tragically lost her life on Thursday night. The fatal incident transpired around 7 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of 26th Street W. and 52nd Avenue Drive West, where the motorcycle collided with an SUV that had turned left in front of her, resulting in critical injuries.
